Cobra Kai – Season 3 Review

If you haven’t been watching Cobra Kai, I have to ask what rock you’ve been living under. Also, stop reading this review now because there will be minor spoilers about the previous 2 seasons which set up the events of season 3. Also know that I will be doing my best to avoid any major spoilers from season 3 though there may be a few minor points. The season picks up shortly after the tragic events of season 2 which left Miguel in a hospital bed after the rumble in the school between the 2 warring dojos. Johnny’s lost his beloved business to his old sensei John Kreese, Robby is MIA running from the law, Sam has PTSD after the rumble and her fight with…

Mars Horizon – Review (Xbox One X/Series X)

I stumbled on Mars Horizon over the summer when it was in Beta and I instantly felt a sense of loss when the time ran out. I’ve been very excited to see what this game was in it’s final form so let’s dive in. Mars Horizon puts players in the drivers seat so to say of a major space agency, taking mankind from the dawn of the space age right up until colonization of Mars. As the head of this organization, you’ll be tasked with setting research goals, planning space missions, receiving and allocating funds, and nurturing diplomatic relations with other agencies. There’s a whole lot of strategy and management but there’s also a little luck involved. Many missions, especially later in the game, have…

The Falconeer – Review (Xbox One X Xbox Series X)

To say that the Falconeer is an impressive feat made by and large by one man Tomas Sala would be an understatement. This review is a shade late but that was because I really wanted to play this on the Series X and my order was delayed in arriving here.  The Falconeer is an incredibly ambitious and pretty as hell aerial combat game that puts players in control of Falconeers, warriors who fly giant birds of prey with weapons attached to them. Its set in the world of The Great Ursee. The Great Ursee is made of mostly of water with islands scattered throughout where piracy is rampant and wars between rival civilizations break out at a moments notice. While flying around, you’ll perform a…

Let Him Go

Let Him Go features Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as married couple George and Margaret Blackledge, whose son very unexpectedly passes away while out on a horse ride shortly after his son is born. A few short years later their daughter in law, Lorna begins dating again and decides to remarry and move their only grandson away to live with her new shady husband, Donnie Weboy, and his redneck family. One day while out in town, Margaret sees Lorna, Donnie and little Jimmy eating ice cream. This scene warms Margarets heart momentarily until little Jimmy’s ice cream falls on the ground and Donnie mocks the young lad and then smacks Lorna. Soon after, they leave town with no real notice for the Blackledge’s. Immediately Margaret…

Ravers Review

Ravers is about a hungry young journalist, who also happens to be insanely germophobic, looking to make her mark in her job. When she’s told by her boss to get out there and “get your hands dirty” she’s invited by her cousin to come along for the ride and check out an illegal underground Rave. Little do these partiers know, this abandoned facility was once the home to a popular energy drink that accidentally became contaminated resulting in a roid juiced up employee going stark raving mad killing other employees. Soon, they find there’s still some of that magic go-go zombie juice still lurking in the building and that’s when the fun really kicks off.  This is no big budget horror/comedy movie. If that’s what…

Come Play – Review

Come Play was a movie I had never heard of. Could be my lack of traditional TV so I’m not as inundated with ads as some people but the moment the opportunity came across my desk, I immediately checked out the trailer and knew that this was something that was right in my wheelhouse(especially during the Halloween season) and I politely requested access. Oliver is a lonely young boy who is a bit different from others. He’s a non-verbal autistic and uses a communication application on his tablet/phone to communicate with teachers and family. One day while playing on his device, a strange ebook appears and it introduces us to Larry. A strange creature who also only wants to make friends and uses Oliver’s device…
