The Division: Warlords of New York Review

As a fan of the Division 2, I played it a lot when it came out. In fact I think it was the only game I played for a good 2 months but eventually I got ready to move on and do other things. I haven’t played Division 2 probably since late summer 2019 so when the opportunity popped up to play the latest expansion Warlords of New York, I was more than a little excited about getting back. The Division 2: Warlords of New York takes us back to the streets of New York where rogue agent, Aaron Keener along with four other rogues, have taken over lower Manhattan. Keener’s plan is to prevent efforts of restoring normalcy to the City and rule the…

I Am Not Okay With This – Review

Netflix’s new comedy “I Am Not Okay With This” is based on Charles Forsman’s graphic novel and it tells the story of a “boring 17yr old white girl” Sydney (played by IT’s Sophia Lillis), who as it turns out, isn’t as boring as one might think.

Love is Blind Review

We’ve all heard the expression “Love is Blind” somewhere at some point in their lives and Netflix’s new series Love is Blind is asking that question and actually putting it to the test in a new experimental reality series. The premise is very simple. They take a handful of single men and women and puts them into “dating pods” where they meet a member of the opposite sex and let them communicate without seeing the other person. All that separates them is a wall with a decorative wall piece. During their dates, they’re to decide if they feel a real connection and if so, they ask the other person to marry them. 4 weeks later they’re to be wed. It’s an interesting concept and idea…

Lost in Space Season 2 Review

It’s been a long time since we last saw the Robinsons whisked away to a new system and they lost their robot friend. Season 1 introduced us to a family divided that found it’s way back to one another by the end and now several months have passed passed and we find the Robinsons surviving and working together on a hostile water planet growing crops and even attempting to trickle charge the Jupiter 2 in an effort to try and find the Resolute. Despite Maureen and John rekindling their relationship and enjoying the family togetherness, they aren’t necessarily in lock step as to what their priorities should be. John is quite content staying where they are whereas Maureen is less excited at the prospect of…

The Witcher Review

Netflix is poised to launch a new series based on the Polish book series, of the same name, written by Andrzej Sapkowski on Friday, December 20th. I was humbly offered an early preview of the series. As is usual in our reviews, I will provide my thoughts on the series without spoilers. Admittedly there are some great things for viewers to experience themselves and I have been asked to NOT divulge these moments and I am only happy to do so. Full disclosure, I’m not familiar with the book series. I became acquainted with Geralt and his world through the game series and it should be noted that yes while the games are based on the books (or inspired by), the producers have said in…

The Laundromat Review

“Based on actual secrets.” Steven Soderbergh’s The Laundromat opens up with this statement, identifying the film’s ties to the 2016 Panama Papers scandal in the United States. Loosely based on Pulitzer prize-winning Jake Bernstein’s Secrecy World, The Laundromat seeks to highlight the epidemic of tax evasion, off-shore bank accounts, and shell companies.

Review in Progress – Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Full disclosure I’m a little behind where I would prefer to be when reviewing a game of this magnitude. The code I received from our friends had an issue and it took a bit of time to get sorted out but we got it worked out. I’ve managed to get in about 25 hours so far which for a game of this scope is the bare minimum for my liking prior to getting anything concrete posted.

Birds of Prey Trailer is Out…?!? Sorta?

My friend Jordan Maison from Cinelinx, tipped me off to the whereabouts of this new teaser trailer for Birds of Prey just moments ago and I had to post it.  My understanding is it’s only supposed to be in front of IT Chapter 2 but I guess that changed. It’s short and sweet but gives you a bit of a glimpse into what this movie will look like. Enjoy

Gears 5 Review

The long-awaited and highly anticipated sequel to flagship franchise Gears of War is finally here. It’s been almost 3 years since Gears of War 4 passed the torch to JD, Kait and Del and we were left with a long lingering shot of a medallion that Kait says belonged to her grandmother. The back of the medallion revealed the Locust Horde, giving us the impression that Kait’s mom is actually related to the Locust Queen Myrrah. Continuing with our tradition of trying to remain spoiler-free, let’s dive in.

Sextuplets Review

Sextuplets is the latest comedy from Marlon Wayans who plays all 6 roles. It tells the story of a soon-to-be father names Alan who has a bit of a complex surrounding the fact that he was adopted and doesn’t know who his family is.
